I have been to both this year as well. Ft. Worth is still the better choice with what it has to offer. The crowds suck tremendously though. The Dallas Zoo, while it has changed for the better, is still not in comparison. The "African Giants" is merely a similuted sahara overlay with Elephants, a couple of warthogs, zebras, gazelles, and maybe a hippo or two.

I was at the Ft. Worth Zoo last week and it rocks. They do have a petting area with a young longhorn, a pig, and goats. I'm not sure if that's all they ever have, there are more pens for more animals."It is in truth not for glory, nor riches, nor honours that we are fighting, but for freedom - for that alone, which no honest man gives up but with life itself."

I'm late, but FW Zoo has a petting area with the pig, chickens, etc. They also have a petting area where you can pet a stingray, starfish and other sea creatures. If you go during the week it's not bad at all with the crowds.Originally posted by Steve View PostFt.Worth it is then. Thanks guys.

It was really nice though and seemed clean and well organized.
