The right thing to do is try to contact Apple or maybe the Airlines to report you found the Ipad. On the other hand somebody stupid enough to forget something so expensive should know better and just chalk it up to lesson learned...your conscious will be your guide.

Regardless of being able to be traced, I'd personally do what I could to see that it gets back to it's rightful owner.

I travel with a back pack full of 2 laptops, and various other electronics, and could easily think that everything is packed, when it isn't. An ipad would be the least of my concerns in terms of losing something.

wow, whoever this belonged to had a bunch of pictures of what I assume is his wife, doing some pretty strange things with a small rodent, what I assume is a ferret?, and an assortment of farm fresh vegetables.

You'd think with all of these pictures on here, you'd make sure you didn't leave it in the seat back pocket of the plane....
