Can I substitute the shirt for a Nike " Just do it" t shirt?Originally posted by TEAMJACOB View PostObviously you should wear camo printed cargo shorts, flip flops and your "whoop there it is" t shirt you've been harboring since the early 90's.
Boots and jeans /thread

People have different ideas of what "khakis" are. To some they are thicker material, like jeans, just a shade of brown and to some they are more like tan colored dress pants.Originally posted by Ruffdaddy View PostI guess I see your point. To me khakis are almost the same as jeans...just a tiny step up. It's not daring to be different...it's caring to impress and respect.
If you're worried about looking like a bum why not split the difference and do jeans and a sportcoat?

Maybe. The message of the shirt may be too direct for the employer and could be misinterpeted as, once again, desperate. "Whoop there it is" or potential one of those clever "fbi - female body inspector" t shirts should do the trick. Depends on the boots, really. I've got steel toe Red Wings that look just fine with khakis.Originally posted by SS Junk View PostIf your interviewer gives a reason to wear jeans then wear jeans. Just wear a good pair. You wear what you suggested w/ those boots you'll look desperate.

Specific attire was suggested for your interview by the interviewer. You would be remiss to wear something else. It could come off as cocky, desperate, or even worse, unable to follow instructions. If they had not provided an appropriate dress code then I would definately agree with dressing up to the occasion. However in this case, since your prospective employer has suggested what they feel is appropriate you should follow it.2012 mustang gt. 3.31 MT
