I hold doors open for people all the time...about 30% genuinely acknowledge my good deed, but i will continue to do it anyway.

the only time i ever paid for someones shit was at a Starbucks...the chick in front of me was fucking hott, so i figured why the hell not. the person over the intercom was a little befuddled when I told her that i would pay for the order ahead of me as well. when Mrs. Hottness got to the window, the barista quickly understood. Sad to say that blond bitch in the Tahoe did not leave her number or wait till i got mine to acknowledge my good deed.-

I hold the door for everyone. It does aggravate me a little when they don't acknowledge it at all, and most times I'll say, "No problem !", or "You're welcome !" loud enough for them to hear.

I bet, I moved out here from SoCa and it was awkward on others holding the door for me, but now I do it all the time.

i hold the door for men and women. it pisses me off when they don't even acknowledge it. a simple thanks would be perfectly fine.

I haven't done that, only because I usually eat at places without a drive through. I do tip really well though, 50-70% depending if she's hot. I 100% believe in paying it forward.

I do the same as above.

Though when they let it go in front of me I make sure to say "Why, Thank You, that was very kind of you" relatively loudly. They usually give a sheepish grin or nod.

I hold the door too. I don't expect anyone to say thanks but here outside the city you usually get that or a head nod.

I hold the door also. I do not really expect a thank you anymore since I hardly ever get one anyway.

I hold the door for everyone, but i don't expect any thanks in return. It's nice to get it for sure, but I don't expect anyone to say it. It's just part of being raised a southern gentleman, by a southern grandmother.
