You guys see the "victimless" side of drugs, whereas I see the rock bottom stories every day. Grown children stealing from parents to get drug money, people committing burglaries of cars and homes to get drug money, forging prescriptions, shoplifting, young women prostituting themselves, etc....... The list goes on and on.
Addiction is a strong MF'er. Once you get started, it's like a boulder rolling down a mountainside.
Like on the show "X Factor". A guy said when he was 12-13 he started smoking weed, when he was 15 he started drinking alcohol, then it progressed to coke and meth. This is the typical story I see, not the guy that goes to work and gets off and takes a joint. I know that I've interacted with some of you at GTGs that do the occasional doob, but I'm OK with that. I'm not here to judge, I just don't agree with doing it. I don't want it around me. I don't think that weed is something that your body needs to survive, and even though it is natural, so is uranium, but I'm not swallowing that shit either.
Humans are succeptible to addictions of all types, I'd rather my children go through life without the temptations of weed, coke, crack, meth, and heroin.
I've gone 43 years without it and have done just fine. I've never needed it.
And as for Chaz, I have had a broken ankle with 10 screws and a rod installed, and I've had my left ACL reconstructed. I've never had to resort to illegal substances for pain management.
I see his excuse as just that. An excuse to slip off to the addictive side and not stay in control.

(refers to an actual incident where my teenage step brother got high and ate a whole can of my mom's chocolate cake frosting)
