So the reason Facebook updated their interface layout was largely in part of Google+ finally being available to the public, invite only is no longer required. FB layout is all screwed up and they're trying too hard to be like Google+. It so much of an ordeal that it was even a top story on the 9 o'clock news.

I don't like it. FB had a good thing going, IMO, so there was no need to change. When I logged in yesterday and saw the changes I logged back out almost immediately b/c I didn't want to deal with it. I got back on a few minutes ago and I was suffering through it...Owner of Titan Towing

It just amazes me that people are so concerned about what FB looks like and changes and all..

The feed is no longer shown in continuous order. It instead let's you know what the top news is and what you might be interested based on your interaction. Then the rest of the feed is just scattered. There trying to accomplish what Google+ has already succeeded in. Actually if you compare Google+ to Facebook's updates there are similarities. Facebook is on course to end up like MySpace. Up until now they haven't had any competition in social networking. That is until Google+ started their beta testing. Now that's its gone public Facebook is worried about loosing its following. I've already seen an increase in traffic on Google+ from new people coming over from FB. It's all about business.
