Businesses don't pay taxes, period. You pay them. They just need to make it more difficult for simpletons to think they won.

I expect legislation proposing a $5 fee for ALL account holders at credit unions and banks. It is only fair.

I considered the e-banking but I find my self using the drive thru or going inside due to their atms not accepting checks or cash deposits frequently! That alone pisses me off it happens so many times.
Chase doesn't seem to offer much more.

The best option I have been seeing is having my parents open a new account linked to theirs. Hmmm. Now if only the would do that lol!

BofA still offers the free e-banking account, where you use the ATM for deposits and paperless statements. It will get a $5 charge come next year for the checkcard, but that's it. It's the accounts I have, and I called my bank to verify it was staying free.

I assume you can't use USAA if you or anyone in your family isn't military correct?

I find it amazing congress is passing the fees on to the consumer instead of the businesses.... atleast its a write off for the businesses. They want consumers to spend money to stimulate the economy, yet they continue to find ways to charge us to spend OUR money. What a bunch of assholes.

I never said Nations treated me badly. I just meant since the name change to BofA on my account and statement, BofA (as that name) has treated me good.

My mom was the HR Manager for NBC bank in Corpus when I was growing up, and we still opened my first account with Nations Bank back then.

That's pretty much what I meant when I said I came from Nations Bank. Just meant I've had my same account since the early 90s, possibly late 80s. Even though I was only like 8 when I opened it....
