From what I just read, they still wont settle. Court date is sometime in Nov.Originally posted by 71chevellejohn View PostObviously stories like this come out and the resolution never gets publicized. Please enlighten us on how management made it right with the owner of the fucked up car.

For real. You would think they would bend over backwards to make this right by the customer for two reasons. First, because they should feel like buffoons after one of their employees wrecked his car no matter how it happened. Second, so they don't receive negative publicity like this. They would have come out better giving the guy a new M5. Not making this right has surely cost them many car sales and even more in service revenue. The fact that they haven't settled this out of court says a lot also.Originally posted by 71chevellejohn View PostNow that is stellar customer service!!!

I think it goes to show the arrogance of the dealership.
One of the threads says that the court date is coming up in November.

My wife leased her Mini from a Sewell dealership. The experience was great, and the services they give are incredible. If they sell a brand I'm in the market for in the future, we'll definitely be going back.
My friend just bought an 06 M5 from Autobahn about six weeks ago. When he got it home he found out that one of the rims was bent and the rotors were warped, not to mention the brake pads were worn down. Things a normal dealership would fix before selling it, or at the VERY least disclose. Needless to say, he was pissed, and tried to take it back the next day after he found out about the aforementioned M5 incident that they wouldn't get fixed. He got there, they gave him shit, and he told them how he saw the story online about the other guy's wrecked M5, and if they didn't replace his wheel, rotors, and brakepads, he was going to be a character witness for the other guy at the trial. They fixed it real quick.
So, my thoughts are that they will settle out of court at the last minute, too.

It's bullshit it even had to come to that. I almost expect these kind of antics at a Joe Blow used car lot, but at a BMW dealer? Hell no. What if your friend had nothing to use for leverage? They tell him to take his $50k car he just purchased from them 1 day ago and go fuck himself?Originally posted by Ratt View PostHe got there, they gave him shit, and he told them how he saw the story online about the other guy's wrecked M5, and if they didn't replace his wheel, rotors, and brakepads, he was going to be a character witness for the other guy at the trial. That's pretty much what they told him to do before he pulled out the level. The M5 he bought has the upgraded anthracite lightweight wheels (1500 a piece), and stock pads and rotors and they told him that wasn't their problem after it left the lot.Originally posted by Buick355 View PostIt's bullshit it even had to come to that. Damn, now thats messed up ! I bet if Channel 4,5,8 and 11 did an investigative report on this incident, it would be settled way before Court !!!!2012 SRT8 Challenger 392 Hemi-6 speed

Parts are expensive because they have to be imported, and are generally engineered to higher specifications, but if you learn to do the work yourself it's not that bad. They gave my friend the money for rotors and pads and the wheel because he didn't want them to touch the car after he read that story.Originally posted by 01vnms4v View PostScrew buying an M5 they are very bad ass cars, but everything is an arm and a leg to fix

Some people suggested the owner taking that route, according to him the dealership is a pretty big sponsor of local TV and they wouldn't touch the story.Originally posted by STRONGNUFF View PostDamn, now thats messed up !
