my neighbor has a 1997 mustang cobra and he is thinking about selling it. he was going to ask $7500 for it but he is not sure if that is a good price for it. as in to much or to little. like i said it is a 1997 cobra, it is that teal color with tan leather, and has 130k miles on it. the car is in very good condition. i figured id ask you guys what everyone thought about it.

Wait I know that user name! Is he selling it or sailing it? It will probably float much better than your crotch rocket.

Very good condition period? or for its age?Originally posted by michaeldhayes View Postmy neighbor has a 1997 mustang cobra and he is thinking about selling it. he was going to ask $7500 for it but he is not sure if that is a good price for it. as in to much or to little. like i said it is a 1997 cobra, it is that teal color with tan leather, and has 130k miles on it. the car is in very good condition. i figured id ask you guys what everyone thought about it.
Cars aren't selling. Especially Cobras ( Via: Me, Steve, Svt Lurch, whiteboy)
I'd say he might fetch $6k if the car is really nice, but I'd wait. If he doesn't he can expect to get $1500-2k less than he wants at best.2012 GT500

Don't lump me in there just yet, I just listed it a few weeks ago (and granted way too high at first).Originally posted by Cobraman View PostVery good condition period? or for its age?

I obviously don't see the harm in putting it up for sale. No one will buy it if it's not, at least if it is for sale there's potential. If he doesn't want to take less than $7,500 then he can tell the low ballers to go fly a kite.Originally posted by michaeldhayes View Postvery good period.

You are asking pricing info from the biggest bunch of lowballers in the lower 48. These fuckers will give $1000, a 12 pack of Dr Pepper and a pretzel for it.
That being said $7500 is unrealistic, $5500-$6500 would be more like it. I will give him $1000, a 12 pack of Dr Pepper and a pretzel for it though.
