Yea i need some sunglasses. I can get my Spys (which i love) made into polarized prescription glasses for about 175. But i think i want some old school Ray Bans which would be about 225 all in. Sounds cheap compared to the 410 i spend on the glasses i just bought lol.

You can get the frames i got for 139 on ebay, and get lenses @ costco. I just went ahead and did it all @ lenscrafters so i could get the 15 mo protection plan if i fuck them up, i get a whole new pair for $25, and the convenience of them being close. Was about $410 OTD.Originally posted by Silverback View PostNice frames, that's a lot like the kind i'm looking to get, I might have to stop by Costco this weekend to see what I can find.

I had my Whiskers (just like those) stolen from the gym. I hope that bitch got motion sickness wearing my glasses as well.Originally posted by johnny--2k View PostWhisker:

I love those Oakleys. I can get them for around 60% off on the prescription frames with my DoD discount. 50% on the regular shades.

Shit thats a pretty strong prescription isnt it?Originally posted by Ratt View PostI've been wearing glasses since I was 5 (1989)
See my avatar for reference. Currently, I am -8.5 in one eye. and -9.0 in the other.
It's just something that takes time to get used to. I wear contacts occasionally but because of my allergies they dry out real quick.

I just don't like any glasses that come around the back of my ear....always gives me a headache for some reason no matter how they are fitted.2009 Mercedes C63 AMG

Yes. They don't measure prescriptions like mine on the 20/20 scale. They measure it on the finger-counting scale -- as in hold up some fingers and see how far close they have to be to you before you can tell how many fingers they're holding up (srsly). I'm a "four feet" on the finger counting scale, lol. I have to hold a newspaper/book/magazine about six inches from my face if I want to be able to read it without my glasses on.Originally posted by Pro88LX View PostShit thats a pretty strong prescription isnt it?

LMAO! That's me in 1st grade (1990) with the Macgyver Special.Originally posted by DON SVO View PostI thought that was Rick Moranis' 3rd grade yearbook photo for a LONG time.
They weren't always this bad, they just got worse. They've gotten worse every year until a couple years ago where they hit a plateau, and hopefully they won't get any worse. The lenses alone were more than your entire pair of glasses.Originally posted by Pro88LX View PostLOL. Were they always that bad? Is that what i have to look forward to?
I wear these frames: http://compare.ebay.com/like/1904471...=sbar&_lwgsi=y
They are very light. They look like carbon fiber but I don't think they are.
