I've had glasses now since 97 or 98 (freshman in HS) and I honestly dont even notice them. Sometimes I will go to rub my eye and stick my finger right into the lens. You get used to them pretty quick, and honestly now I feel like I look wierd if I am not wearing them. Just becomes second nature after a while, and you dont even notice them. I am funny about shit going in my eyes, hence no contacts and lasik also freaks the shit out of me!

I actually have two pairs, one regular and one that are sunglasses, and if I come into work with my sunglasses on and take them off in the building and dont put on my regular ones, people always say i look different or wierd without glasses.

If you need them all the time, I highly recommed two pairs, the transition lenses suck if you are in a car because they need the UV to change colors, and most auto glass is uv shielded so they dont change/get dark enough.

Yea i need some sunglasses. I can get my Spys (which i love) made into polarized prescription glasses for about 175. But i think i want some old school Ray Bans which would be about 225 all in. Sounds cheap compared to the 410 i spend on the glasses i just bought lol.

I feel your pain. Although I got a screaming deal on mine. Buy one get one on the frames, both oakley frames, with polarized for the SG and an eye exam for $550 at Pearle Vision when I still lived in WI. (not sure if they have that down here)

Nice frames, that's a lot like the kind i'm looking to get, I might have to stop by Costco this weekend to see what I can find.

You can get the frames i got for 139 on ebay, and get lenses @ costco. I just went ahead and did it all @ lenscrafters so i could get the 15 mo protection plan if i fuck them up, i get a whole new pair for $25, and the convenience of them being close. Was about $410 OTD.

It's just something that takes time to get used to. I wear contacts occasionally but because of my allergies they dry out real quick.

I just don't like any glasses that come around the back of my ear....always gives me a headache for some reason no matter how they are fitted.

Yes. They don't measure prescriptions like mine on the 20/20 scale. They measure it on the finger-counting scale -- as in hold up some fingers and see how far close they have to be to you before you can tell how many fingers they're holding up (srsly). I'm a "four feet" on the finger counting scale, lol. I have to hold a newspaper/book/magazine about six inches from my face if I want to be able to read it without my glasses on.

I think it took a couple weeks at most, Four Eyes. My big issue was wearing them while taking a drink and then looking under the glasses and sort of water boarding myself. I did LASIK last year and wish I had been able to do it sooner.

They weren't always this bad, they just got worse. They've gotten worse every year until a couple years ago where they hit a plateau, and hopefully they won't get any worse. The lenses alone were more than your entire pair of glasses.

Yea they had a few oakleys i liked but they looked about 38 sizes too small
