It's not that 4gs is chump change, and scammers are among the lowest of the low. It's more that her parents aren't and shouldn't be considered responsible for what their daughter does once she's supposedly grown up, and I for one wouldn't take money from them to correct her screw-up. That's just going to enable her to do it to someone else in the future.
