Warbirds Over Addison, $995 for a P-51 ride

I know we have a lot of warbird enthusiasts here, so I thought this might spark someone's interest.

Cavanaugh Flight Museum is having their annual Warbirds Over Addison this weekend. Today, they are offering half price rides in a few of their aircraft.

P-51: $995
Skyraider: $750
TBM: $950 for 2 people

Having ridden in a P-51, I can tell you it's an experience that you'll never forget. The only other P-51 that I know of that gives paid rides, was charging $4000 (this was a few years ago, so it might have changed). $995 is a steal for this once in a lifetime experience.

Also, for you guys that want to see FiFi in person, it should be out there (depending on ramp space).

Yeah the Collings Foundation's Mustang (Betty Jane) and Crazy Horse in Florida are not cheap.


$3200/hour and $3050/hour respectively... But you get to take the stick for 90% of the flight and get pics/video in Crazy Horse.

a buddy of mine did the P 51 ride last year and I think it was $2000+.

Best flights I've had are a loach and cobra helicopters.
