RIP Dan Wheldon

I got to hang out with him for a day back in 2005 just before he won the Indy 500. Here's the shoot I did with him. He was a nice guy I can't believe he is gone.

I'll be honest I wasnt a fan of Dan when he won the Indy 500 in 2005, I wanted TK to win it lol. But he is a hell of a racer.

He was such a down to earth guy and full of pranks. He buzzed my cam lens with the front tire. Scared the shit out of me doing a drive by and turned into me the last second. He was totally the type of guy you'd have fun drinking a few with. I can't help but wish for the best for those type of people, I was surprised to hear about his death for sure.

I was suprised as well, I saw the replay of the wreck on youtube cause my dad text me about it. Then thought nothing more of it and watched the cowboy game. About an hour later someones phone said that he had passed and it kinda just killed the happy mood.

I got to meet him this summer at TMS. He came to our table during lunch and sat down with us for a while. He was was a very cool guy and easy to talk to. RIP.

I wish I would have not seen that crash on TV.... Can not get it out of my head.

I hate to hear of any fellow racer getting hurt/ killed in a wreck. God speed Dan Wheldon....

It's all good. You still got to hang with him, and he will be greatly missed by a lot of people. I'm sure he's racing around heaven lol.
