Downtown Ft. Worth hotels

Recommend me a nice hotel in downtown ft. worth that is somewhat close to the Stockyards. I haven't been there in forever, and I know theres some new ones. Thanks!

There are no nice hotels within walking distance of the Stockyards. Since you'll have to drive either way, I'd go with the two recommendations above. Both are nice, but the Omni is brand new.

I will be renting a car, I just didn't want to go outside of the downtown area basically. As I recall the Stockyards are pretty close to the downtown anyways. Thanks!

I like the Ashton downtown, small, historic, the 6-10 Grill is good. In the stockyards, we usually stay at the Stockyards Hotel. Not cheap though.

And the stockyards are about 3 miles or so from Downtown.

Omni (new) or Ashton (old) are probably your best options. Stock yards is a few miles north of downtown though.

Agreed, not sure what is going on there. On a totally unrelated note, we had one of the best ribeyes last night at La Hacienda Ranch of all places. Cooked to perfection, unbelievably tender and ancho chili butter sauce on the side instead of ladled all over the top. Pleasantly surprised to say the least.

We stay at the Stockyards Hotel a couple times a year. Much cheaper than a DWI.
