Tell me how this is done. Can I just get a dish and receiver off craigslist and hook it up out there, or do I need to go through Direct TV with my current account? And what about getting local channels in the lease area (Abilene).

just buy a receiver, extra dish, rig it up, have the receiver activated, boom done. I hooked it up at our deer lease in about 15 mins.Originally posted by BlackSnake View PostTell me how this is done. I have tried this and could not get it to work. I am wondering if the new receivers are married to the LNB's now days. Tried different one and could not get it to work.Originally posted by BlackSnake View PostI assume that I can use any dish (craigslist), or do I need to get one from them?

here you go check this out
now the way to get this you have to already have direct tv service and you have to order on line while on the phone with customer service. its pretty cool cuz it is all in one system. so no extra satellite to dial in to get a picture and you could take it any place as long as you have a clear view to the southern sky.
