I might be able to get into a 48L but most of my suits are 50L/52L with a 38 waist.

I'm actually a 52-54 depending on the suit, then i have to have the mid section taken in. It's my shoulder width that's the biggest problem. Oh and then the size 52 fucking pants, have to be taken in to a 38-40, which means a complete rebuild.

Usually I have to buy suit seperates, or just sport coats.

I really need to spend the time and money, and go have a custom suit made at Hugo Boss or somewhere else.

Check the link I posted above. I have a good friend who has a dozen of their suits and they are all obscenely reasonable for what you get. They will be in the Dallas area for fittings in about a month. I'm going to jump on a the deal for 2 suits and 2 shirts.

Hugo boss is WAY overpriced for what you get, and their cuts are slimmer which means you will have to go way too big in the body to get wider shoulders. Look for something with a fuller cut to begin with, and work from there. You should be closer to a 48.

When I bought my suit the guy next to me dropped 2k on a suit and a few shirts like it was nothing. And at the same time I am sweating because I spent a few hundred on a 50% off suit..... lol

Hand made, materials, construction etc...

Go into any thrift store and look at the suits. There are suits that were hand made from good materials from the 1960's that look brand new. Fused suits made of cheaper materials don't stay looking good for long. Glue starts to separate and bubble, and the fabric wears.

I have ordered a few from T.M. Lewin, they are definitely a good deal. Have you tried Charles Tyrwhitt? Just ordered some Sea Island Cotton shirts the other day.

Checking it out now. TM Lewin has 5 for $160 going on now but I haven't taken a look at what is available yet.

I'm traveling to customer sites a bit more and prefer to not look like the typical computer nerd that doesn't give a shit about his appearance. Not to mention I'm up for another promotion.

If you are a normal size, I agree with Chris, Last Call or the Rack are great places.

Being 6'4 and on the fluffy side I have a hard time finding anything there for me.

I shop MW, but even there my options are limited as compared to average sizes.

I didn't even think of Nordstrom Rack. I usually go there for shoes but never even considered looking at their suits.

I've started buying my shirts at Neiman Marcus last call. Damn good shirts for the money. However T.M. Lewin is even better if you don't mind buying online. Their specials are cheap as dirt too.

Yes, but my trailer has a foundation, no wheels, and a backyard.. So I guess it's not really a trailer after all....
