The GTI gasser is a decent car. The TDI's get great mileage but cost more initially and to maintain. Volkswagens in general seem to be hit or miss when it comes to reliability.

Yeah, I saw a few pics of those a couple of years back. Good looking car. I don't recall which came first me seeing a Magnum here w/ C300 or the Euro version.

ROFLMFAO! I first read that as "defecation".

FWIW, the MS3 is an awesome little car. I probably would have bought one, but the lack of telescoping steering wheel didn't mesh with my 6'5" self

I wouldn't be scared of a BMW diesel. All common rail diesels have sensitive fuel systems. from the 01+ Duramax, 03+ Cummins, 08+ Powerstroke, etc. Don't feed them shit fuel, and you'll be fine

The Audis are sexy, but the depreciation on those things is fucking insane. Not sure if I could do it... But, then again, I'm driving a 6.4 Powerstroke now, so I don't really have room to talk about depreciation!

Apologies. My sarcasm meter must be broken. The "Wagon's are cool again" debate has been going on for a while. I believe that is why US manufacturers have started offering them again.

With a reasonable budget, I've wanted to build one of these for a while.
