Nail clippers and shampoo are serious business.

He is Jewish so I send him cards that say "Merry Fucking Christmas you cheap bastard".

I visit him about every 2 months and what gets me is that they give me less grief going into a Federal Prison then the TSA gives me getting onto a plane.

My only involvement is my friendship.

I wish that the officer had told the dude to pound sand; it would have saved me a bundle. When it first happened I did not know that my friend was up to anything. It is needless to say that I know better now but I would still like to get him out of prison. In hindsight he would have gotten caught at some point anyway so prison was inevitable for him, again.

My buddy owned a loft downtown and the FBI wanted to talk to him about someone that he knew from serving time with them. They called him and he politely declined to discuss anyone or anything with the agent. The agent decided to show up in person and try to talk to him. I was sitting in the parking lot waiting for my friend to come down stairs to go fishing with me. When he exited the building 2 agents confronted him; once again he refused to talk to them. They told him that they would get a material witness warrant for him and told him that he was not free to go; in the mean time the local PD showed up and one of the agents took my friends house keys from him and gave them to an officer and instructed him to enter my friends house to retrieve his lap top computer. The officer did just that without asking any questions and the FBI discovered information on the computer that got my friend a very long sentence for bank and wire fraud.

My friend has a checkered past and would not be my friend today if I had not known him since the 7th grade. He was also as guilty as hell for what he is now in prison for.

I forgot to ad that they let him go after half an hour or so but they impounded his car (and kept it) and never came up with the warrant that they threatened to get.
    1. I've learned from working with the Federal boys, you keep your guard up.

    2. That is some hokey play that went on.

    3. Some friends just need to get Christmas cards. Being an enabler doesn't help.

So who cleans up the mess the burglar bobm leaves?

The burglar might leave, but you still have a damaged door and a home you can't occupy because of the residual OC.
If you read the FAQ, you'll see that after an hour it's no longer an issue. And I guess coming home to an alarm screaming, your door shattered and your stuff gone is MUCH better alternative. Especially since the police and I have a disagreement if I'm even in the county.

How do I get back in after an incident?
The effected area can be ventilated in less than an hour, but even without airing out, the area will be habitable in three to four hours.

    Is there a residue?
Technically, yes. But, it is so minor as to be undetectable.

    Is the residue toxic?
No. The active ingredient is food grade pepper extract.

    Is any cleanup required?
No. But, if you feel inclined to do something, normal household cleaning procedures such as vacuuming, damp mopping, and damp dusting will work nicely. Avoid sweeping for awhile.

Exactly. IF it's your home, you have the expectation of privacy. Should I want to tear my weapons apart and leave them on my living room floor, who are cops to break in and so anything?

This same mentality is the one police used during Katrina. "We are coming in your house to save you from a threat. You don't have gas? Tough. We have to make sure." Then they kick down the door (or in this case get a locksmith) and enter to do as they want. Hell when they seized weapons during Katrina and put people out of their homes it was for their 'own good' as well.

Fuck that. If there is a gas problem and I did not ask you to come in, you do not come in. I will handle the reprocussions
