My heart goes out to the family of Ranger Anderson.

This reminds me of the Garland officer who was killed in 89'. Some nut job had just killed half a dozen people at a mid-day get together and was speeding as he drove away. I believe that Officer Walker stopped the man for a traffic offense when the guy slipped out of the passengers door of his truck and shot the officer in the chest with a 20ga as he approached the truck. Just goes to show that you never know who you are going to come across when you pull someone over.

There was a motor jock in the mid cities that stopped someone for speeding and didn't know he had just robbed a bank. The motor officer was shot dead.

There is no telling what the guy went through in Iraq or witnessed. Anyone who has ever seen something tragic or been through a life changing event understands that it never goes away. I dont doubt that his past played a part in what happened. RIP to all involved

No amount of seeing blood and guts, your buddies dying, or having to kill people who you really don't have a personal reason to kill justifies taking the life of an innocent. PTSD is an easy way to explain why someone goes nuts but it doesn't absolve them of responsibility for their actions in my book. You are also assuming that the shooter had PTSD when he could have just been a mean and evil mother fucker.

his wife explained to a court that he had the symptoms of it. guy had anger depression suicidal tendencies etc according to his wife. she even filed a temp rest order against him for awhile. definately should have got some help but too late now.
