You shoulda pocketed the money. It probably won't be the last time that truck gets damaged.

Insurance adjuster came up with $2,005 for the estimate, and that was conservative. If he ran the numbers freely, he said the truck would be totaled.

It's now in the shop getting fixed.

I didn't read all of the replies - but, obviously, it could have been worse Matt.

One of my coworkers 5 year old son and mother were sitting at a redlight. They were rear ended by a 'texting teenager' going in the nieghborhood of 70MPH.

The child was killed instantly, the grandmother was hospitalized and in ICU for some time. She lived.

Not like I know ya, but when I hear DREADED news - I'm think hospital or death and I was happy to read what actually happened.

With that said, we don't KNOW both sides of the story here. Those could have been extremely important text messages that he had to deal with on the spot.
