I even said that it probably looked like I was going faster than I was because that turn was cautioned at 35 mph, and he said, "but you don't have to do that, just the posted speed limit"!!

About 4 or 5 years ago I was driving on I-85 north of Charlotte and a N.C. Highway Patrol cruiser was going about 50 mph in the left lane. I passed him on the right going just below the posted speed limit of 60 mph and he promptly proceeded to pull me over, lecturing me with the words "I don't know what YA'LL do in Texas, but up here you don't pass a state trooper!" No ticket of course, rather he simply wanted to assert the authority of his badge.

If this one was directed at me, I got rid of the yellow one a LONG time ago. I was driving my silver 04 cobra. But yeah, if I'd have been in my f-250 I wouldn't have gotten pulled over. But I also wouldn't have been able to do 55 around that turn!

Had something like that happen in AZ. I was actually going 89 in a 75mph zone, but was going with the flow of traffic. This was back in 1996 when my SS was brand new and still a novelty. I was pulled over, cop checked out the car, asked a bunch of questions and as we were all smiling and laughing and we were walking back to our vehicles his expression went cold and he pulled a Columbo and said, "Oh BTW, you have any guns, drugs or knives in the vehicle?"
