im gonna need to hear the other side of the story from the pitbull before i judge this situation..
But anyways, my girlfriends family pug was pretty damn old when he bit the shit out of her 2 year old nephew nose a while back. Why did he get bit? cause he was tugging his ears. That pug was grumpy and couldn't be around little kids cause all they wanted to do was try to ride him like a horse.Originally posted by 03trubluGTYour opinion is what sucks.

Growing up, my grandpa had an ancient chihuahua/terrier mix that was his hearing ear dog. She was the grumpiest dog in the world. I have NO idea how many times I was snapped at by the damn thing, but it was always because I reached back behind his chair, too close to her pillow. We got to the point where we wouldn't go crying to him. We knew better, so he'd bust our butts for annoying Tillie.Originally posted by unkoricky View Postim gonna need to hear the other side of the story from the pitbull before i judge this situation..

Agreed. My daughter is priceless to us. I'd never take a chance like that no matter how much an owner swore how sweet and docile their dog is, or go on about their nature they have seen. At the end of it all, it's still an animal and a breed by nature raised to be aggressive/protective. You cannot control the nature and temperment of an animal under stress.Originally posted by bcoop View PostIt's not worrying about it. It's being cautious an responsible. Pit owners, like it or not, your dogs have a history more than any other dog of being aggressive so you shouldn't be offended when people are nervous or don't approve of them. It doesn't mean you cannot own them of course, it just means you have to accept the stereotypes people have of them and the liability that comes with owning one just as it is my responsibilty to protect my daughter.
JMO's.

Exactly. I wouldn't leave MY one year old with a Chihuahua, much less a large breed. Doesn't take much to do irreperable harm to a kid.Originally posted by bcoop View PostIt's not worrying about it.
