Help need plate ran! Hit and Run

Front plates serve a great need in identifying vehicles while driving residential/surface streets.

Back in 1995 when I was working east side, we had a car jacking broadcast come out. I was driving east on Rosedale when I saw a car matching the description (dark grey Cadi) coming westbound. As it passed, I looked at the plate and it matched the broadcast. A quick u-turn put me behind it and the pursuit was on.

The chase lasted about 9 minutes through the area of Rosedale/Miller and the residential areas around there. We ended up east on N. Hampshire and then south on Tension and back to Rosedale. He bailed out at a scumbag Section 8 apartment unit at about 5600 E Rosedale (then it was the Windsong apartments) and we caught him in a foot chase.


There are so many benefits to having a front plate, that it outweighs the benefits of not having one.

are you saying your squad car is incapable of busting a U turn if there is no front license plate?

Good to hear. Driver should've stopped, it's hard to have sympathy for someone getting fired when they did a hit and run - ESPECIALLY in a company vehicle that has advertising all over it. Some people don't think at all.

The only thing that makes any kind of "logical" sense, is that the guy was drunk. Being jobless is better than being jobless and in jail with a $10k lawyer bill.
