Thank you for doing that sirOriginally posted by ram57ta View PostJust a followup for anyone interested. I've lost too many friends and too many relatives from suicide to not react to this. Sure a lot of people make statements like this to get a reaction or for kicks. This was not the case. I contacted both the LH Police and the Williamson county sherrifs office. I just got a follow up phone call from the sherrifs office. They did make contact with him and he was actually planning to kill himself. The deputy told me that he was 100% certain that if I hadn't contacted them that he would have killed himself and told me that they were getting him help. The deputy looked at this forum also and said that it was good that TEAMJACOB posted the initial question because by doing so he saved someones life.

I've done a LOT of different things over the years but my provable job history is mechanical/electrical maintenance work (12+yrs as a signal technician for 2 different railroads). I've done electrical work, computer work (IT), retail sales, drove a Limo for the last superbowl, and have even done Wide-Load escort driving. I DO have a CDL license.Originally posted by LS1Goat View Postwhat's your skill set? vocation?
I wouldn't mind having a normal 9-5 indoor job considering the last 12 years have been spent dodging cars and trains while making repairs in the pouring rain, sleet, snow, and lightning. The money was good but I was killing myself. Money aint everything.

Well done sir. One day this board is going to go too far with it's antics and push someone over the edge.Originally posted by ram57ta View PostJust a followup for anyone interested. You sound jaded. With only a couple of exceptions, everyone I've met in person through this site is the diametric opposite of your assessment. I think you might take what is said on this site at face value. You should attend more meets.Originally posted by Damnittsteve View Postram, if you ever come to ft worth, pm me and i will buy you dinner at a decent resteraunt. you've earned it, glad to see not everyone on dfwstangs is a cynical self absorbed asshole.

If you're willing to relocate, I think you would have vast more opportunities. Just a quick glance at the Jobs forum will enlighten you to that fact. Hell, even North Star Dragway is hiring.Originally posted by ram57ta View PostI've done a LOT of different things over the years but my provable job history is mechanical/electrical maintenance work (12+yrs as a signal technician for 2 different railroads).
