I'm confused. Steve, are you saying someone did or did not commit suicide because of this site? And who are we talking about, because it isn't ringing any bells. The only people I remember threatening suicide on here or just talking about it are : Back In Black, red89notch, you, and Maverick. If it was Maverick, pardon me while I toast to less downs syndrome genes in the shallow end of the pool.

You don't go on to a Mustang website looking for help when you're going to blow your head off. That's what suicide hotlines are for. It's been proven time and time again, that it's purely seeking out attention. You've been guilty of it yourself.

I've lost two close friends to suicide, and many not so close friends. Not a single one of them sought out attention or asked for help from anywhere, or anyone. People that are going to do it, don't talk about it. They just do it.

Can this site be nominated for some kind of Nobel Prize? Peace prize, Humanitarian prize? Just sayin...

For all the bullshit that goes on around here, this was a breath of fresh air. Hats off to you two guys.

I might have a job for you if you're willing to relocate to Houston. The pay isn't that great, but it's very rewarding work

I wouldn't mind having a normal 9-5 indoor job considering the last 12 years have been spent dodging cars and trains while making repairs in the pouring rain, sleet, snow, and lightning. The money was good but I was killing myself. Money aint everything.
If you're willing to relocate, I think you would have vast more opportunities. Just a quick glance at the Jobs forum will enlighten you to that fact. Hell, even North Star Dragway is hiring.

Sure a lot of people make statements like this to get a reaction or for kicks. This was not the case. I contacted both the LH Police and the Williamson county sherrifs office. I just got a follow up phone call from the sherrifs office. They did make contact with him and he was actually planning to kill himself. The deputy told me that he was 100% certain that if I hadn't contacted them that he would have killed himself and told me that they were getting him help. The deputy looked at this forum also and said that it was good that TEAMJACOB posted the initial question because by doing so he saved someones life.
Well done sir. One day this board is going to go too far with it's antics and push someone over the edge.
