So did we every time she tried something new. Two of us followed him to the jail knowing we were going to have to pull her out of the back as gently as possible. Oh yeah 4 cameras and audio in the sally port. It all started one block from Wal-Mart. LOL

It'd probably show all the shit that happened outside of the cruiser's field of view. But then what do I know? Multiple camera angles is witchcraftOriginally posted by kingjason View PostI dont get it. We have cameras in our cars and great audio. What the hell is a fuzzy camera video going to show that my camera wont. We have them in the front and rear of our tahoes. We laughed the other day, this chick we took to jail tried every trick in the book not to go for her third felony theft. Med unit came out for her heart attack ,and said shes good, then she tried acting like she was dead in the back set, then as we got to the jail she had her pants down and said we raped her. I laughed and asked her if she wanted to watch the video of the back seat ride over. She got real quiet for a minute and then started acting like she didint know where she was.I wear a Fez. 2 questions
is there any law, at least in texas, that police can not be video taped? after all there are dash cams that are released to the public sometimes after an incident, so i dont see a citizen doing it as being any different.
and when houston pd took the ladies memory card, could that be considered theft or illegal search/seizure?sigpic

Not that I am aware of. However she may have jumped up in their faces and interjected herself into the middle of it. I still can not imagine taking a video card. FYI you can be arrested for pedestrian in roadway, interfering with investigation, disregarding a police officer etc etc. I wasnt there so I dont know. Orrrrrr they could have kicked his ass and then hers when she came out to softly inquire about the incident from her doorway. Who knows at this point.Originally posted by jefehbk View Postis there any law, at least in texas, that police can not be video taped? after all there are dash cams that are released to the public sometimes after an incident, so i dont see a citizen doing it as being any different.

true, DPD "lost" the footage of me taking the ride downtown after i refused the breathalyzer since i was very coherently discussing the officers shotgun and yessir and no sirring him to death and such during the ride.Originally posted by stevo View PostAudio and video equipment can be turned off, and the recorded media can be erased afterwards, it has happened many times before, and will happen many times in the future.

If I sneeze my camera comes on. It would look really suspicious if I pulled up on a stop and turned my cameras off. Ours stay on the server for around three mounths and auto download from a hard drive in the car. All that shit is under lock and key. DPD uses the same system we do accept they may not have it in all their cars, most do though. Not sure on HPD. The old school VHS tapes you could have probably tampered with but they were under lock and key also. Problem is with those night shift changed them out and I could see one being lost if people were shady enough.Originally posted by stevo View PostAudio and video equipment can be turned off, and the recorded media can be erased afterwards, it has happened many times before, and will happen many times in the future.
