No, they will just hand them out for lower speeds then you currently expect. I talked to one of our troopers the other day and he is looking for 5+ over. Not sure if our stretch of highway is going up, currently it is at 70.

Now, if west of Fort Worth would bump up to at least 70mph. I hate that stretch from Fort Worth past Weatherford where it's 60-65mph. Feel like I'm crawling.

I am happy about 70mph at night on the Texas Highways. 281, 16, etc.

Just means we can go 80 with no problems except maybe in Itasca.

I got a ticket from the lone Itasca PD officer 5 or 6 years ago, and naively took the time go to the Itasca Municipal Court to plead not guilty. The judge said right from the beginning that he personally knew the officer and there was no way he was going to find me not guilty. He graciously offered deferred adjudication with a waiver of the usual $50 fee, which I graciously accepted from His Honor.

Interpretation - I enjoyed driving 75-80mph without constantly wondering if a cruiser would be sitting around the next bend or over the next hill in the median.
