The first run of a vehicle prior to any changes/improvements in a series is job 1, the next would be job 2 so on and so forth. I think they changed some cooling/HG things between job 1 and 2 in the 6.4's (08-10)

Yeah, my understanding is anything built before July 2007 is a Job 1, from July 2007 to February 2008 a Job 2, and anything after February 2008 is a Job 3.

There's also somethings to look for like the 2 inch air dam is a Job 1, and the 4 inch is Job 2 or 3, and then some wiring changes because the backup camera in the mirror wasn't an option, and neither was TPMS on Job 1 trucks.
