So you use the internet on phone like a home computer on a broadband connection, yet you're surprised when service provider figures that out and starts charging you for using your phone like a home computer with a broadband connection? I get the frustration, but that game has changed, folks.

LOL. Ridiculous. We pay for UNLIMITED data. Period. Are you suggesting AT&T had no way to know that people were going to use the unlimited data they paid for?Originally posted by BradMBut, just like condoms and women's rights, I don't believe in them.Originally posted by LeahIn other news: Brent's meat melts in your mouth.

30 a month is about the cost of typical home broadband with no limits, yet with cell providers, the same amount is a slower speed and not unlimited. Makes perfect sense to me.Originally posted by Slowhand View PostSo you use the internet on phone like a home computer on a broadband connection, yet you're surprised when service provider figures that out and starts charging you for using your phone like a home computer with a broadband connection? glad I left att when I did. Their plans are too expensive, and their customer service, IMO, is worse than sprint. Never had a problem on my end, don't use enough data to have that problem, but sprint has been great to me the past 6 years or so...and I like my discount! 27% off monthly, yes please!2009 Mercedes C63 AMG

Newer infrastructure = expensive, higher fixed costs, so high cost to consumers. It's not the same service.Originally posted by 90GT50 View Post30 a month is about the cost of typical home broadband with no limits, yet with cell providers, the same amount is a slower speed and not unlimited. Yep, and lol at anyone who thinks only ATT will be doing this sort of thing long term. Mobile data has exploded parabolically and is only growing at an increasingly rapid pace. Conservative estimates have mobile data in 8 years at 100x today's level. Carriers can't accomodate it. Only solutions are cell splitting, increased spectrum, and increased efficiency on the RAN.Originally posted by Slowhand View PostNewer infrastructure = expensive, higher fixed costs, so high cost to consumers. Most people I talk to have nothing but good things to say about you, but you sure come across as a condescending prick. Do you have an inferiority complex you've attempted to overcome through overachievement? Or were you fondled as a child?
You and slow99 should date. You both have passive aggressiveness down pat.

Sure they are. If you put a limit on it, it's not unlimited. They are changing the service after you hit the 2g LIMIT.Originally posted by Magnus View PostWell, they aren't being cut off from their unlimited.
I don't think I use that much, but it's pretty fucked up. I assume anyone on that plan could get out of their contract now. Still sucks.
