If we are only talking 50's and 60's, I would have to say a 67 GP. I have always wanted a 71-72 GP though.

They don't get much love, but I've always been a pretty big fan of the box-top Galaxies too....and they can still be had for reasonable money.

Also some of the old under-dog Buicks too....

It is sad that cars will never again be this beautiful. What has happened?"When the people find that they can vote themselves money, that will herald the end of the republic." -Benjamin Franklin

I always wonder that, but I don't think a 1986 olds is ever going to be cool.Originally posted by talisman View PostI think there is some pretty groovy stuff out right now. Maybe in 50 years an 03 Malibu will be "cool?" A lot of this stuff was just economic throw away cars back then....

Yeah, it will. It has to be OLD and CLEAN for that to ever happen. I have a buddy of mine that has an '83 Cutlass 4dr (V6/rwd) that his grandfather gave him a few years ago. I think it has 18k miles on it now and it's pretty damned sweet.Originally posted by 5.0_CJ View PostI always wonder that, but I don't think a 1986 olds is ever going to be cool. When the government pays, the government controls.

20k, was a one owner Arizona car when I found it. that interior is original, and looks like new. The car had 62k original miles on it when I bought it. The old lady traded it in at a dealer in Phoenix, she wanted a New Cadillac before she died. The car was perfect, looking back I wish I wouldn't have bagged it and left it alone. I mean the car was cool and all bagged, but looking back kinda feels like I ruined a true survivor. With my Buick, I didnt ruin shit. No value of any kind for a 68 Electra stock, and now the brothers go wild when they see it lol.Originally posted by talisman View PostThat is CLEAN. How much are they asking?
oh yea, there isn't a touch of rust anywhere. People use the term "rust free" loosely, but if there is a such thing as an original 40-50 year old car without rust this is it. I haven't seen the car in 6-7 years, so I can't say what its like now, but considering the guy who bought it, Im certain the car is still in good shape
