  • Does anyone know where I can find a moisture

meter for rent? I just landed my first commercial account, dealing with flat commercial roofs, and one of the requirements to be proficient is a good moisture meter. Essentially a ground penetrating radar that keys in on moisture. In researching them the cheap ones run about 2k and the good ones over 5k, which is a bit much right now.

Soo.... in that this site pretty much nails everything else I'm hoping that someone can help me out with this...

    Essentially something like this:

Tramex Moisture detection meters, digital hygrometers, probes and thermal imaging that detects moisture in walls, concrete and wood.

Grainger has them in all kinds of price ranges:

      Your kit?

      FWIW, on Google:
Rent Moisture Meters from Equipco. Available models include Survey Encounter and 840050. All rentals are backed by our 'Best Price Guarantee'. We beat any competitor's price.

I had no idea that Grainger had that many selections. Damn!

Was really hoping that someone would say "Hey, you can use mine..."

Thanks for the lookup on Grainger, btw. I'll probably be buying one from them tomorrow...

Too bad you think I'm a douche bc I can get employee pricing at Grainger. Problem is my inside guy will take 48 hours to get what I need, but the price makes it worth it usually.

I used one of these last fall, and it performed as advertised for my application. The good thing about it was it is completely non-destructive (no probe pins), and it read accurately through floor tile to the wood subflooring.

They seem to make very good stuff. Guess I will soon be finding out!

                        Classless?

There are plenty of people on here who will back me when I say that you are flat out wrong. I can't please everyone, but I sure as hell try. I don't have to prove myself to anyone and especially not you! Thanks for playing though!
