If you are intentionally malicious towards said person, this can be considered road rage which also makes the offense of “hazard to others” a more serious offense. Remember, malicious acts put you in just as much of a “douche” class as the person whom is tailgating…

Exactly. I used to get out of my car and yell at people. It then occurred to me that if something more were to happen all witnesses would have no idea what would have caused the road rage, but would have all kinds of detail when dumbfuck got out of his car and started screaming. It was then that I realized it's just better to ignore what goes on instead of taking it personal.

Doesn't 547.333(c)(2) apply? I'm no expert on the transportation code, but it seems it should based on my cursory review of the chapter.

Sec. 547.333. MULTIPLE-BEAM LIGHTING EQUIPMENT REQUIRED.
(a) Unless provided otherwise, a headlamp, auxiliary driving lamp, auxiliary passing lamp, or combination of those lamps mounted on a motor vehicle, other than a motorcycle or motor-driven cycle1) shall be arranged so that the operator can select at will between distributions of light projected at different elevations; and(2) may be arranged so that the operator can select the distribution automatically.
(b) A lamp identified by Subsection (a) shall produce1) an uppermost distribution of light or composite beam that is aimed and emits light sufficient to reveal a person or vehicle at a distance of at least 450 feet ahead during all conditions of loading; and(2) a lowermost distribution of light or composite beam thatA) is aimed and emits light sufficient to reveal a person or vehicle at a distance of at least 150 feet ahead; and(B) is aimed so that no part of the high-intensity portion of the beam on a vehicle that is operated on a straight, level road under any condition of loading projects into the eyes of an approaching vehicle operator.
(c) A person who operates a vehicle on a roadway or shoulder shall select a distribution of light or composite beam that is aimed and emits light sufficient to reveal a person or vehicle at a safe distance ahead of the vehicle, except that1) an operator approaching an oncoming vehicle within 500 feet shall selectA) the lowermost distribution of light or composite beam, regardless of road contour or condition of loading; or(B) a distribution aimed so that no part of the high-intensity portion of the lamp projects into the eyes of an approaching vehicle operator; and(2) an operator approaching a vehicle from the rear within 300 feet may not select the uppermost distribution of light.(d) A motor vehicle of a model year of 1948 or later, other than a motorcycle or motor-driven cycle, that has multiple-beam lighting equipment shall be equipped with a beam indicator that is1) designed and located so that the lighted indicator is visible without glare to the vehicle operator; and(2) lighted only when the uppermost distribution of light is in use.

I see no reasonable application here, especially if you flash your low beam lights. There is a section in 547 that adresses strobe lighting, but flashing IMHO does not equate to strobe lighting.

I relate this a little along the lines of border security. There maybe more than one reason for it. Yeah, there is a good chance they want to go fast. However, that person may have an actual emergency and holding them up is only going to up the odds of them doing something to create more danger.

It sure beats the hell out of those dip shits that swing 3-5 lanes at a time to gain 100' in traffic.

had a guy ride my bumper like a moron while I was passing a pack of slower cars. We where heading south on I-35E from Sanger to Denton. Its 65mph there, and heavily patrolled by Sanger Denton and State troupers. I sped up to 75 while passing. And he was glued to my back bumper, so I sped up to 80. once we got around the cars I hit my right blinker and was about to get out of his way when he flung around me on the right, and leaves me at a much higher rate of speed. I literally said out loud, "Wheres a cop when you need one?". no sooner than I said that a Sheriff in a magnum came flying out of a ditch went strait past me and lit him up. I giggled and rest my cruise, and continued on my way. Had In done something stupid, I'd been busted with him.

I typically don't drive slow enough to be flashed, nor do I get so impatient that I want to flash someone. Just simple wait for an opening and take it.

I was driving down 30 going to Arlington and the left lane opened up, I moved over and proceeded to do about 80-85. Well some JackA$$ in a GMC Jimmy decides to move in front of me and THEN give me the little "no, no" finger in his mirror....I had so much rage at this point...thankfully I have a little voice in my head that requires me to think before acting...but I can still think it

Had something like that happen when we were camping in Colorado. Dad wanted to do THE speed limit and not be behind a guy doing 25 mph. Whenever we came to a passing zone (stripes our side, solid their side) we tried to pass. Idiot in front of us went into the oncoming lane to block us, then did the "no, no" symbol at us.

We were going to have a picnic in town, so I grabbed a napkin, smeared ketchup in/on it and wrapped it around my hand. When dad finally got to a two lane passing area, I stuck my "bloodied and bandaged" hand out the window and pointed at it.

He gasped and covered his mouth, the look was priceless...bet he doesn't do that again!
