I'm not that way at all. I know what I like, so if I'm gonna do a vacation, it's gonna be centered around that. I could take vacations every week for the rest of my life and never see all of the wilderness in the world that I'd love to see. Places like Vegas And NYC, while interesting, represent what I pretty much loathe - an excess of concrete and steel and flashing lights and traffic and billboards and noise and crowds and greedy machines everywhere.
So...since you've done a different trip now-there's always CO in July!
While I agree, some of the shows are beyond spectacular. I've seen "Love" twice now, and would pay the over $100 a ticket to see it a third time. If I'm on vacation, it doesn't really matter where I am or what things cost. I'm on vacation to have a good time, and as long as I'm not flat broke when I get home, the idea about going on a trip, to me, is to have new experiences and get out of your daily grind/comfort zone. Sometimes you gotta spend that skrilla to do it!

I don't think seeing the shows would have much bearing on my opinion of Vegas. I'm a simple pleasures person, and excess is what draws people in.

The only show we cared to see was "O", but it was $180 per ticket. Screw that! We didn't gamble a whole lot. Mainly played slots and got drunk. Just had the buffet at the Bellagio; that was good. Checking out some free exhibits now. It's just crazy to me how pricey everything is and people still flock here. I don't see the draw. I guess a lot of the people who love it here probably don't understand the draw of shitting in the woods, either. To each his own!
Winstar is there for the broke ones wanting oklahoma's vegas
Jared, did you guys get to see any shows? If all you did was gamble, I can see that wearing thin pretty quick.

In all seriousness, we've had some fun, but we've also got it out of our system. I don't see ever wanting to come back, and I'm glad we didn't pay for the flight or the room.
