Yesterday got two citations on my way home from work...experts inside

I'll keep you guys updated because I will be fighting both citations. I'll get an attorney if needed, but the current statutes and the officers video should be sufficient proof to get both citations dismissed.

I'm gonna run with the typical DFWM paranoia that the video will be lost.

So can someone give me the Cliff notes on front license plates? I'm currently running a black tag on my newly purchased Mustang but assumed I was going to have to mount it when the plates come in.

I wouldn't think it would cost anything. IIRC, it clearly states in the new statue that you don't have to have EITHER plate. It should be just like if you are stopped by police and have insurance but can't find your insurance card. You can send in your valid proof of insurance and the citation will be dropped, no fine, no court costs, no dispute. That part of his offense should be easily handled by himself without having to pay an attorney to represent him. Anyone can print off the statue online and take to the court. He will have to call the court himself and find out what his options are. Personally I would show up on my court date with all paperwork in hand and try to have it dismissed immediately based on the law change.

No he was in Euless literally the bottom of the barel of law enforcement trust me seen more then my fair share harassing people doing nothing wrong and not doing anything to stop the criminals. Lived here 20+ years and have met more bad then fingers and toes and and 4 good literally 4 that's why I always believe what my dad told me "the police are there to twist the arm of the victim to make them shut up" Euless PD motto it's in their cars just look.

A friend of mine got pulled over in Euless. He was driving a new at the time Lincoln Continental. He is a professional. He was wearing a suit. He offered his license and CHL. The Euless ding-dong starts yelling at him "do not move!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! do not move!!!!!!!!!!where is your gun?!!!!!" etc.

Yup, I understand what you're saying fully now. Only part that irritates me, is now it's the OP's burden to prove both. One specifically is not his issue, the other based off what the OP says is also not something he did wrong.

Of course, he does drive a Vette so it's hard to feel too sorry for him.

That ticket is invalid so it doesn't matter how much the fine is for no front plate.

I would certainly try to fight the other ticket on principle. Nothing would piss me off more than doing everything right, and then being ticketed for EXACTLY what I did right by the law.

However, only the OP knows if he is stretching the truth on that one. Also, it's a magazine.
