Its only on very few phones. I havent ever had an android that could do it right out of the box. I just root the phone then download a screen shot app from the market. This is one area the iphone clearly prevails over android.

Expandable storage(SD card) is a nice feature too. Along with being able to transfer files easily between multiple computers without having to have your itunes account on it.

Also, itunes is a clunky piece of shit of a program.

<-- has had a 3g, Atrix(until I smashed it and fixed it a few times- then it started acting funny), infuse(backup phone), and currently a SGS2 Skyrocket.

I use Cyanogenmod7, which requires the phone to be rooted in order to get the screenshot like that. Works perfectly fine for me.

The thing the geeks and tech heads forget is that - yes - you may really like a certain product, but its a pain in the fucking ass to give it to someone who is not a geek or tech head and expect them to enjoy it.

    Keep it simple stupid.

I think it is a coin toss, get what you prefer to use. I have a SGS2 and I know I would like it better if I could root it, but it is a company phone and we can't root/jailbreak any devices that use our company's apps. I will probably go back to iOS with the iPhone 5 under these conditions, it just works better and doesn't have all the bloatware.

Some annoyances with the samsung is it will decide to randomly shut off all the radios. Sometimes I will go for hours before I notice that I haven't had service and you have to restart the phone to get the radios to turn back on. Also, while the battery life is pretty good, it takes FOREVER to charge. I got used to being able to throw my phone on the charger for 10 minutes when it was nearly dead to get me by for a few hours. With the SGS2 10 minutes may add a couple of % to the battery.

Its easy to see why people become apple fanboys but the kicker for me is Apples refusal to implement technology until everyone else already has it. Then the fanboys going on and on about how the tech isnt needed just makes me wonder.

If you have some specific questions concerning Android, ask them and I'm sure we'll answer them satisfactorily.
