You're kind of right. Obama is cutting the 287g funding. That's the money for the locals to enforce the immigration laws on those already arrested. The locals still can't just stop and ask for papers....Originally posted by stevo View PostI'll take "there is no money in it" for $1000, Alex.

Question dodging aside, don't you think he has a point?Originally posted by 03trubluGT View PostSo you're gonna dodge the question?
Typical.
I don't know, check out the case and see if getting hundreds of thousands of drugs off the street is worth it.
For the sake of argument I'll go along and say (Insert LEO here) has a solid reason for using a GPS tracker on a suspect. Why then, would they not get a warrant first? If the reasoning is so strong it doesn't seem like it would be an issue. Is it just guys cutting corners?
For the record I have never been illegally searched or tracked (that I know of)."A government big enough to give you everything you want, is strong enough to take everything you have."

Don't make me responsible for the actions of others. We are all responsible for ourselves.

Without going back, I think there was no set standard for getting a warrant for tracking, only searches involving phone, email, locations, etc. I think this case has now set the precedent.Originally posted by slow06 View PostQuestion dodging aside, don't you think he has a point?

No, it is perfectly relevent, you just don't want to answer the question.Originally posted by racrguy View PostI'm not dogging the question, it's irrelevant. It doesn't matter how many times I have been tracked, it only matters that they were doing it warrantless.
Trampling peoples rights is not worth it. As Danny already pointed out in this thread, even criminals have rights, contrary to your beliefs.
And don't go putting words into my mouth. You don't have that right.

Ok then, why don't you explain how it's relevant instead of continually asserting. I've explained how it's not, now it's your turn. Step outside of your SOP.Originally posted by 03trubluGT View PostNo, it is perfectly relevent, you just don't want to answer the question.
I can say anything I please (within certain reasons). And I didn't put words in your mouth. You think average everyday citizens shouldn't worry about the government tracking them, so it stands to reason that you think the same about criminals. Or do you think criminals have more rights than the average citizen? And don't go putting words into my mouth. You don't have that right.
