Maybe I can hold on the the one I have! actually I'd REALLY like to have a new Mustang at some point. If I could work a deal somehow and roll my STi into the deal and wind up with slightly lesser payments, I'd do it.Originally posted by slow99 View PostLmao
Course, I'd also like to trade my Dakota in for a desiel truck!

I've found that the better job you're after, the more difficult they are to find. Just getting to the interview process is a feat all by itself. Career type positions usually shield the hiring manager and the HR folks by allowing ONLY online applications and resume submittal. If you're not getting a whole lot of hits with your current resume, I would stronly suggest getting professional help of some kind. They seem to know how to make a resume stand out above others, by placing the proper keywords all over the place so that the search engines will pick them up.... and placing the title of the job you're looking for all throughout the resume.....Originally posted by Sean88gt View PostI hope I'm not looking for 8 months
Otherwise 90% of all resumes go right in the recycle bin.
In my case I just happened to call my friend at the right time when he had an opening.
After all I went through all those months, it was nice to interview with a guy that already knew me and my skills - it was like having an informal conversation with a friend, though I wanted him to hire me based on my skills and qualifications, not because he was my buddy. I was able to say that on a personal note I need a job now more than I ever have..... I am trying to hold on to my shit, lol.... when he asked me if I still had my race car project I told him not for much longer if I don't find employment !

In the non-entry level positions you aren't going to be sitting there being interviewed just for being his buddy. I have plenty of buddies I can't possibly recommend for certain jobs, for lack of proper skill set. Perfectly good people, but it would take years to train them.Originally posted by 93LXHORSE View Post

Edit: My point was supposed to be - the old saying of "It's not what you know, it's who you know." is not 100% accurate. It's both.Originally posted by MR EDDU defend him who use's racial slurs like hes drinking water.
