One of the more positive experiences Urbany said he had at Walter Reed was when the Washington Capitols hockey team donated equipment for the soldiers there to start their own team.

Yea Dave and all of Kim's drinks were probably also donated at both Christmas parties!

If you can get their address I will have some diapers and/or formula shipped to them.

Thanks man. I appreciate it. I pretty much emptied my "let's do stupid stuff" fund for this one which wasn't much but...hey Christmas.

One is 8 weeks and the oldest is 16 months. Talking to the wife who is in contact with his wife. Neither of them have any idea this is going on. I don't have their address, I haven't needed it so I didn't obtain it.

He has a VA rating, but he's been working which is why it isn't set up to cover him while he's out of work.

x2 on the address thing if you have it.

Edit: Of course, I'd probably not use stuff from strangers on my kids. Diapers from a sealed box are a little different though.
    I believe he said 8wks and 16mos.

Forever-Frost, does either of them smoke cigarettes? People making dobations should be aware if the money they are giving is going to support their nasty habits.

I'm usually the first to be skeptical, but he's a fellow combat vet and I spent quite a bit of time with him last week in DC. He didn't get his car demolished until this weekend and he's been out job hunting. As everyone knows, not easy in this environment to find one, add in PTSD and such it gets even harder but he's still looking. He's not one of those guys who just waits around for things.

And he doesn't know I'm even doing this, didn't ask for a hand out or hand up, but I know when a brother is on hard times and this is close to home as I've been in his boots.
