It's pretty much worthless, but legal enough to not get ticketed for it.Originally posted by Lason View PostLMFAO@$32 insurance.
I was paying close to $400 when I was 21. Now Im 33 and finally have sub $100 insurance. I would be VERY skeptical of $32 insurance covering anything anyway.

The example in the UK says 1 in 25 don't have insurance. Which leads me to believe this really isn't about insurance.Originally posted by 03trubluGT View PostInsure.com has Texas at 15%.
You already have to provide it to get a license, inspection & registration, isn't that enough? And now we have a DB where the police can check simply by running your plate. Maybe we should all get bar codes tattooed on our foreheads that the pumps could scan. That would make it really convenient for big government.

That makes me feel better. Glad to hear you're enforcing the law. Is this a TX policy, or FW only? And how do they get out of jail? Do they still get tickets? Funny how they can come up with money to get out of jail, but not to buy insurance.Originally posted by 03trubluGT View PostYes. If someone doesn't have ID, they go to jail and the vehicle is towed.
If they have ID, they get tickets.

Umm I didn't have to prove it to renew my license or register any of my vehicles or renew their tags.Originally posted by UserX View PostThe example in the UK says 1 in 25 don't have insurance. Which leads me to believe this really isn't about insurance.

I get what you're saying on this. And I do not think it is about insurance either. It is about keeping everyone on the grid and keeping everyone in line. British government is way too controlling.Originally posted by UserX View PostThe example in the UK says 1 in 25 don't have insurance. Which leads me to believe this really isn't about insurance.

Inspection yes, but not registration. I do my renewals online and everything is mailed. I don't walk into the DMV unless absolutely necessary. I'm vehemently opposed to the federal government doing it but it is an interesting thought for the state. No insurance? No gas. No DL or illegal? No gas.Originally posted by Magnus View PostEvidence of Financial Responsibility was on the inspection checklist for me last Feb.
Pretty much solves the problem. Have ICE sitting there to pick up the illegals who can no longer get away and deport them to a country of our choosing.I wear a Fez. Fez-es are cool

Do you even write tickets to illegals?
