I have this system and it's decent. It doesn't come with a hard drive so you'll have to pick one up. One of the sister woot sites has a better one and the price is great.

I think someone said 500gb lasts about 3 days if continous.

Yea, I believe it will record on motion.

A damn long time with four cameras as they only record when motion is detected. Each camera can have the motion sensitivity adjusted with a few clicks of a mouse. You can even set it up to email you.
