I try to be a courteous driver... In the L lane to pass only, get over when I see someone coming up in my mirror, make room to let another driver over (when they use their signal) etc...

I agree except that I cruise in the left lane (on a 4 lane) and yield if someone wants to pass. That way, I am not bothered by people entering/exiting the highway in the right lane. For some reason, people think that anyone slower than them is a dumbass and anyone faster than them is a maniac. I do not block other drivers.

The problem is people do NOT pay any fucking attention.

For those examples you provided where you try passing someone then they speed up. I am willing to bet is that they were fucking around and didn't realize they were going so damn slow until you sped up.

It's like these dumb drivers who do not know how to yield onto a highway. If you would just look ahead of you and find an opening and adjust for that opening you will be fine. But instead, you get dipshit's who will ride all the way until the lane ends and cut everyone off.

You all are doing something illegal by "speeding" in the fast lane. Who are you though to put a cap on the legalities? Some people will think going 80 in the fast lane is insane and are probably in the same mindset as Jeremy while driving 65 mph in the fast lane.

What gets me are the fucking idiot who get in the HOV and drive 10-15 mph slower than the car in the main lanes. At least once or twice a week I get behind some idiot in the enclosed 67/35 HOV driving 55 or slower with a line of 15+ cars behind them.
