If you know times then you have a better estimate on the power you are making.Originally posted by Steve View PostLol. Thats a valid question i suppose. I dont care about et's anymore which why i asked the way i did.

Haven't been back to the track yet, but with muffler deletes and the same canned VMP tune, running through the stock air box and papaer filter, using 275/60 DR's, I ran 12.107 at 115 at MIR last October.Originally posted by Badass2000GT View PostScrew the power. Generally speaking this is true, but plugging my numbers in (12.107, 115 mph, 3755 pounds race weight), the calculator showed that I was making 436 hp. In reality, the number was more like 360 in the baseline dyno run last week.Originally posted by Badass2000GT View PostIf you know times then you have a better estimate on the power you are making.

Nice looking car....I made the mistake of stopping by Grapevine Ford this afternoon to check out the grey base GT
I didn't like the front/rear in the pictures I saw but looks great in person.
Will pick up if these drop down below 25k like the 11/12s did eventually

Im still on the fence with both of those. The canned tunes seem to be hit or miss but then again so are shop tunes. And there is a lot of peopke who think the cai's arent worth the money on these cars and have very little gains with them.Originally posted by SonicblueGT03 View PostHaven't been back to the track yet, but with muffler deletes and the same canned VMP tune, running through the stock air box and papaer filter, using 275/60 DR's, I ran 12.107 at 115 at MIR last October.

I'm doing mine mostly for looks, but hopefully will get some gains out of it. I have to admit it was cool to lift the front wheels and then open the hood for everyone who wanted to see the engine, only to see a bone stock 5.0 air box and paper filter.Originally posted by Steve View PostIm still on the fence with both of those. The only thing that looks dated on the Cobra is the interior. You know when you see a Cobra vs guessing if that new Mustang is a v6 or GT coming towards you.Originally posted by Steve View PostI agree. Now that the 5.0 is out the terminator seems very dated to me now. Not only in looks but performance and refinement as well. The 5.0's are just better all around cars as they should being 7-8 years newer.
The performance on a Cobra is not dated by any means considering full bolt ons and a pulley swap make 540-550ish rwhp.
You have a case for the 1979 suspension though lol. I love both cars but the Cobra is still a beast 10 years later and has my respect.

A pullied car will not make 540-550rw. Your typical pulley cars make 440-480ish depending on the setup. My car with a full race port with a 2.76 and a 4lb lower spinning the shit out of it made 520rw. It might have hit 540rw with a set of longtubes, but to say a pulley car will make that power is a real stretch of the truth. lol.Originally posted by A_A_G View PostThe only thing that looks dated on the Cobra is the interior.
