Yes, there is. Some children deserve to be spanked. And some deserve to be beat. I'm not talking breaking bones. I'm talking about putting the fear of God in them. And with some kids, that can't be done with a single swat on the ass.Originally posted by BradMBut, just like condoms and women's rights, I don't believe in them.Originally posted by LeahIn other news: Brent's meat melts in your mouth.

I agree with the second part. I wouldn't put myself in a situation and try hitting some snot nosed kid. If he acts a fool even after trying to talk to him in the Principals office then what they did was right.....Originally posted by bcoop View PostI agree with everything you said, except for this. What else were they left to do? I'm willing to bet the Admin as well as the police involved felt fucking ridiculous doing what they did, but they had no other options.
Especially with the legal boundaries, and the absurdity of parents these days. Their children do NO wrong, they are perfect little angels. The parents would have reverted blame back to the school staff. "Well, you must have done something to piss her off." If they had swatted the child, lawsuit. If they had restrained the child, lawsuit. If they had called the mother immediately, there is a high probability the kid would have knocked over another shelf while they were waiting, and injured someone else's child; lawsuit. They are damned if they do, and damned if they don't. America is responsible for situations turning out like this. Not the police or the school admin.Originally posted by Cmarsh93zDon't Fuck with DFWmustangs...the most powerfull gang I have ever been a member of.

I agree that lawsuits are out of control, it film them everyday. Sometimes it is merited though. That is my initial reaction to this.Originally posted by Steve View PostThat's kinda part of the problem bro. Everyone suing everyone for the stupidest shit rather than getting to the center of the problem to deal with it properly.
The school has their hands tied, they can't touch the child that is out of control and really have no choice but to call the police. If they do try to control the child they get sued by parents.
I'll tell you, now that Emma is getting old enough to do more activities, I constantly find myself shocked by the extreme bad behavior by some kids. All kids are going to act out, thats what kids do. But I have seen a few kids who are just out of control temper tantrums and I'm SO glad I don't have to deal with anything remotely near that. We're talking kids that scream in public as loud as they can, throw anything they can get their hands on, run away from their parents screaming tearing shit up, even just outright hitting anyone near them including their parents and complete strangers. It's intense to see!
there isn't one. I just don't think he kid should be thrown in jail. I think I am more pissed that the school didn't call the parents first.Originally posted by bcoop View PostAct like a little unruly bastard, and you will learn at an early age what happens to little unruly bastards.
So, you tell me. What would you have done? Keep in mind, you can't so much as lay a finger on the child.
Agreed.Originally posted by talisman View PostYou're out of your fucking mind.
It's a 6 year old. How hard is it to intimidate a 6 year old? Whole system is fucked.
This is a result of the timeout generation coming of age. We need to bring back corporal punishment, IMO.Vortex rear stand $75

People have completely lost the concept of self reliance, problem solving and the ability to take care of their own issues. They seek government intervention at every juncture and the concepts behind why the founding members branched out to forge new paths is a foreign and terrifying idea. I'm not saying anything about the authorities here so calm down. I'm saying as a country the reason we began is dead. People need a nanny now.Originally posted by bcoop View PostCare to elaborate?
Sure, it's absurd that a 6 year old had to be arrested, cuffed, and charged. But what other course of action would you recommend?
Teachers can't lay hands on a child. Administration can't spank, swat, etc. When you've got a kid ripping shit off of walls, and knocking over bookshelves, the child is a danger to others. The situation has to be isolated and rectified somehow. If it weren't for bullshit liberal laws, they wouldn't have had to take it to drastic measures, IMO.

This was my exact thoughts while reading the article. The fact the parents are complaining yo the media is part of what's wrong, how about admitting your child was wrong and unrully. It's parents like this and others that blame their shortcomings on other people and tied the school administrations hands on these ordeals.Originally posted by Steve View PostWho knows, maybe the ride and time sitting in a jail cell will be enough to scare the shit out her.
