Entry fees and your options

Up until now I have always been a Long Hauer and it was simple...pre-register and be done with it.

So I called Family Events and here is how it breaks down:

If you want into just that day's venue with your car, it's $30.
The problem is that you have to get the one day pass at that venue on that day.
This means that if you run up to Stillwater and get only the $30 day pass, you WILL have to stop at the registration booth at QuickTrip Park and pay another $30.

IF you want to get into Stillwater, hit the BBQ lunch stop at CoverCraft in Paul's Valley on Friday and then pull into the GP venue with no drama (well, less drama), you need the $90 multiple day pass. The $90 also get's you the goody bag with all kinds of neat crap, forms to drop at the Main Stage to win stuff, Hot Rod liscense plate, decals, etc.
This option get's you 2 sets of credentials, at this point mostly needed to get into the lunch stop. And sometimes the Sponsors have cool giveaways at their booths for credential holders.

So there you have it.

Wife is gonna come in with the kids. Bring a trailer up for us and take the kids to great wolf lodge. Head back in Sunday. Y'all got anything cool going on that weekend?

David, I'm up for meeting in Denton, I don't want to have to backtrack. Hoping to leave here around 9:30 or 10:00, depending on the wifey. We'll be in the '42, provided I get the radiator back in time to get it installed.

Wow, didn't know that thing was in that good of shape (figured it was another "project").

I'm going to check the weather tonight and see what it looks like. I really hate the idea of dodging t/storms & hail.

I'm "ify" on rain out. I'll just wait until the last minute I guess.

If it's on, lets meet up at Starbux on Heritage Tr Pkwy and I-35. If you map it, there are two there, one inside Kroger and the other streetside at Heritage Tr. 10:00 am.

Then we'll stop at either Velaro at the race track so Keith can top off, or in Denton (depending on if we can get E85 there). We can also hook up with the Dallas people up around Denton - TBD.

Turnout is pretty good IMO. There were several thousand cars at the proving grounds today. Almost overwhelming.

Coolest part was easily the exit through the proving grounds. They routed us all through that place including some time on the handling courses. We got a little froggy on places, quite fun. A couple of the banks were easily 45 degrees. We left there and headed to the Henry Ford Museum. Awesome museum!!! Saw the limo Kennedy was shot in, first accord built in the USA, Lindburghs travel trailer, and some other very interesting items.

We leave out in the morning at 8:30 or so. 215 miles to the next stop. Syclone seems to be hanging in there. Gonna try to catch up with a guy in our hotel with a beautiful LS converted Fiero tomorrow. I would love something like that!
