I had my dogs ears cropped by Dr.Schaffer at animal medical in Frisco. She did a great job and does all breeds. Very reputable.

I don't care what people say or what argument they put up, cropping a dogs ears are a preference of the owner. I'm not against it, when I have a big enough place for a doberman, I'll get a puppy and get a proper crop. The rescue I work with crops most of the puppies that come through the rescue because most people that come looking for a dobie want cropped ears. All of mine I've fostered have been cropped. If you're going to do it, make sure you get a vet to do it. Most of them should have a picture book of the crops they've done.

And someone be so kind to explain how any dog that is not a real working dog is anything more than an accessory.
Where the hell did you learn to spell?

Your last sentence explains a lot about your outlook. Sucks that you would own any animals. To a lot of people, a dog is a companion, a friend, a family member. Get a purse if you want an accessory.

D'oh! Brent beat me to it. Great minds...

I would get with the Doberman Club of Dallas and see what local Vet they recommend. You are not re-inventing the wheel.

Spaying and neutering serves actual medical purposes for the animal. It's not an unnecessary cosmetic procedure to make your dog look like more of a badass.

Because Americans can't seem to break the cycle of wanting their sons to look like daddy. It's an unnecessary cosmetic
procedure the majority of the time.

That is only as common as it is in America. And it's only common here because it's a hygiene issue.
