Best way to adjust them is to use your garage door. I tape where the the center of light on the door for both lights and then install the aftermarket lights. I would then adjust them so that the brightest part is at or right below the tape.

Just adjust them properly so you aren't blinding people like 90% of the douches with drop-in HIDs rolling around in the day time with the fuckin high beams on and you'll be just fine.

This is why I opted for 130w h4 halogens over a HID kit for my headlights. Still not legal, but I haven't got in trouble for them.

Some of the lights are brighter than they need to be. I was going down my side street, which is a two lane road and a car washeading in my direction. His lights were so damn bright I couldn't see shit. I had literally slow down it was so bad...

It makes it worse when they are way out of adjustment. They can be bright, but it's not near as bad if they are pointed in the appropriate direction. I high beam fuckers often if they're shit is too bright. I don't care if their brights are on or not. I hate it.

Bluish, but not overly so. Agreed that the 4500-5500K HIDs give even better visibilty, but even the 8300K are far better for me than the stock halogens were.

I have them in my Harley so I can be seen and see.

Was thinking about adding them to the new chevy though. Don't want another reason to be pulled over though.

Not "blinded", that was a bit of an exaggeration, but it is annoying as fuck. "5% tint so you cant see up in my windows" helps with bright light during the day

Very true, the human eye don't see blue and purple as well as white. blue and orange lights are GAY.

HID systems put out MORE light, thus the higher glare. Lower the beams PHYSICALLY using the headlight leveler. I still can't find shit on this law.

A 35 watt hid is putting out about or more than a 150 watt halogen bulb.
A 35 watt hid is 2000 +lumen's.
