I dont get it also, Our lab has been through a lot of training. I can tell him to sit and stay and he will not move tell we tell him ok. And we never take him out the door with out a leash. Its not all the dogs fault, stupid owners are more the blame.

Same, there's an old couple who walks both their dogs without leashes everyday. Granted they are smaller breeds, but still NO LEASH?

Hope your wife heals up quick.

There would have been a shots fired/animal dead report filed as well. Perhaps a pistol whipping report.

Tell Rachel I send my best.

Hope it all works out in the end. I hope the owner does the right thing.

I don't fuck around with dogs even small ones. One of the guys at work almost has his wife loose her hand over a fucking dog bite and it was their dog. Infact she is still recovering from the wound which happened just over a month ago.

Dog bit her where there thumb meets the hand, while she was trying to break it and another dog of theirs up. Crushed a bone in there. It became infected and they couldn't get it stopped with anything they tried. They went in and drilled a part of the bone out where it had been crushed and told her they'd give it 48 hours to get better and if it wasn't showing signs of improvement they were going to have to take off her hand and part of her lower arm.

All kinds of problems went from there including some kidney problems something like a week or two ago. It's just been one fucked up road from one simple little dog bite to the hand. I like dogs but fuck screwing around with an aggressive one.

Shitty thing of it was she's been in school and a police academy trying to become a police officer. That dog nearly ended all of that. All that time and money spent for what could have been nothing.

Hopefully it doesn't scar too bad. I don't really mind scars because they all tell a story, but I'm sure she feels differently.

Ouch. Worst thing you can do is run away from a dog. It goes against instinct, but charge it back if it is coming for you. Sorry that happened to her, Matt.
