The crash site road was much more archaic than the beach. Luckily, my car has new SensaTracs on all 4 corners, a new set of tires, and factory springs. Being a vert it is a bit rough, but definitely not as bad as having Sportlines. This was the first time I've been through NM in over 12 years.

very cool Eric, Im very jealous. I did quite a few similiar excursions out of DFW on my motorcycle and every time took a little different route a little further. Next time you go anywhere near New Mexico take this route out of Truth or Consequences and follow this route into Eastern Arizona. It's only about 300 miles, but it is literally one of the best routes with scenery and history Ive ever been on, and ive logged 30,000 miles traveling the US on my motorcycle.

One of the coolest things is the Very Large Array on the route (pictured below)

Hotel 6 stay (see thread for number to hotel). Friday go to Power Tour meet. Head back to Arlington.

Won't be possible for me to swing that. I've just used the last of my vacation time until I reup in late June, and my annual store inventory is that following Monday, so I have to be around for all the prep work during the previous two weeks(hence me taking this vacation now). Maybe next year.
