I'm flying to new Bern north Carolina right now to help my brother drive back to fort worth Texas. He's in the marine corps and coming home for Christmas. This will be the sixth time I've done this. I do it so he has company and we make it back safe. I'll be there 10pm and start the 20hr road trip through the night. I also drive back with him and fly back home. He's being shipped out so the truck needs to be home, otherwise he would just fly home.

I dont know that i'd make it through the western edge of N.C. or eastern TN before I stopped and never came back to Texas. I really like the hill country there.

oh and to answer your question, yea, ive done what you are doing, 4-5 times except from the west coast to Dallas.

You gotta go a little southwest of Austin to get to the really nice hill country. West of New Braunfels is awesome.

Not many people realize what all Texas has to offer geographically, but it's a big state, and we pretty much have it all.
