Let me squash all of this by saying yes I was wrong and was expecting some sort of retaliation. The deeper this story goes about this guy the less I feel bad about it. Somewhere in this thread someone mentioned the possibility of him being a cheater as well; this is true. But my own personal feelings aside, I'm a single man and she was not. I was used as a scapegoat in this particular situation and I really don't expect to recover any material loss as I'm still on the fence about the civil suit.

Originally posted by Nash B. View PostOkay, then please, explain what this meansand how it does or does not answer the questionNo, betrayal isn't a two party system. There are many ways a single person/entity can betray someone. And if you'll read again, I didn't say the wife is the only one at fault, but she's much more at fault than the guy that didn't know (or barely knew) her husband. It would be different if they were friends, but in my opinion, he hardly deserves to get shot or have his ass kicked for it, and probably doesn't deserve to have his shit destroyed (and it wouldn't be a smart move on the husband's part to do any of this, either).
As for part I highlighted in bold; I don't see anywhere where anyone made those statements. Secondly, the part of how he didn't really deserve the vandalism to his house is total bunk. You're saying that just because he was an opportunist (like many guys like that are) and she was complicit, his actions deserve some form of impunity because he was just taking advantage of a whore? This so-called whore was another man's wife. I guess this fundamental point is rocket science to sum. Just because you're strolling through the store and you see someone's credit card lying on the ground with no one around to see it, it doesn't give you license to pick it up use it. Unless, you are opportunistic and just want to take something because you can.
I just don't follow your logic.

I'm sorry, but I can't subscribe to your dogma of the wife being the only culpable party in this scenario. The guy fucked another man's wife and cried about getting his house vandalized as a result. To me that makes about as much sense as the term "non-criminal" illegal immigrant.

Originally posted by Nash BIsn't that what you implied with your post about him winding up dead or in the hospital if the other guy hadn't been a coward?
Originally posted by Nash BSee, it's something to get pissed about, but who's more at fault - the woman that betrayed you, or the guy that facilitated her betrayal? IMO, the majority is on the woman, and there's not enough of a reason to be mad at the guy for bringing out the cheating whore in a woman (and saving you from having to find out it's in there many months or years down the road) to actually do anything to him.

You and some others sound oddly dispassionate about someone dropping a load off in your lady's box. You may want to sit down and reevaluate your true feelings of said woman. Some things in this world should be sacrosanct.
